Using What You Have To Create Something New
In 2018, I had the opportunity to spend 3 months working at a hotel and restaurant in Kigali, Rwanda. In that time, we realized they had all of the ingredients for a tour company – the trucks, the driver-guides, and the tourists – but were short one necessary ingredient:
The tour company.
Leveraging what they had and my experience in marketing and content creation, we spent the summer touring throughout Kigali and Rwanda to develop half-day, full-day, and longer tours to be able to offer to the tourists staying at the hotels.
Overview
- Developed 5 city tours exploring the culture and community in Kigali, Rwanda
- Created videos and photos to support each tour
- Web copy and marketing for new website
In the time since, the hotel has added a few additional properties and begun to partner with other larger tour companies in Rwanda and East Africa.
